Mercedes-Benz Malaysia together with authorised dealer, NZ Wheels,  has invested RM 6 million in the newly-enhanced Mercedes-Benz NZ Wheels Klang Autohaus. 

The newly-enhanced Mercedes-Benz NZ Wheels Klang Autohaus was upgraded to  be compliant with the Mercedes-Benz Presentation System II (MPS II) autohaus concept which is the global autohaus benchmark of customer experience, complete with the new Mercedes-Benz corporate identity.

Deleum declined in revenue for FY17

Deleum Bhd’s revenue in the financial year ended December 31, 2017 declined 12.3 per cent to RM 534.1 million from RM608.7 million compared to the corresponding year. 

The lower earnings was attributable to the challenging trading conditions particularly in the power and machinery and oilfield services segments.

McDonald’s Malaysia has achieved another milestone in human capital development following the accreditation by the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia to the company as provider of apprenticeship programmes under the National Dual Training System (Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional)

The achievement underscores McDonald’s commitment to support the government’s agenda for Malaysia to achieve 35 per cent skilled workers by 2020. It is the first quick-service restaurant operator to be awarded the SLDN accreditation by the Department of Skills Development (DSD) of the Ministry of Human Resources.

WCT 2017 Profit Jumps by 128%

WCT Holdings Bhd, a leading engineering, construction, and property company, registered a profit after tax of RM155 million for the year ending 31 December 2017. A significant jump from the RM68 million recorded in the previous year. 

The Group recorded a revenue of RM579 million for the fourth quarter of 2017 as compared with a lower RM453 million in the corresponding quarter for 2016. A net profit of RM59 million was recorded, which was a boost as compared to RM4 million for the same quarter last year.

Pos Malaysia Bhd yesterday announced revenue of RM1.8 billion for the period of nine months, an increase of 26% compared to its revenue of RM1.4 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year. 

This increase was in particular due to the inclusion of the newly acquired logistics business coupled with strong growth in its courier business. Profit before tax decreased 17.5% from RM107.4 million in the previous corresponding period to RM88.6 million.

Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) concluded FY2017 by achieving another record-breaking year, fuelled by its improved margins and gain from disposal of its subsidiaries. 

The Group registered a record Profit After Tax (PAT) of RM1,545.0 million, an increase of 63%, from RM946.5 million in FY2016. PAT from continuing operations improved by 21% to RM1,087.9 million.

Kejuruteraan Asastera Bhd (KAB), a home-grown electrical and mechanical engineering specialist listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia), yesterday declared a single-tier interim dividend of 0.5 sen per share, amounting to RM1.6 million, for the financial year ending 31 December 2018. This marks the Company’s inaugural dividend payout since its recent listing on 17 November 2017. 

The interim dividend is payable on 6 April 2018. The ex-date is 9th March 2018 and entitlement date is 13 March 2018.

Malaysia-based international offshore energy facilities and services provider Bumi Armada Bhdyesterday announced its fourth quarter (Q4) and full year (FY) 2017 financial results. 

The Group saw revenue for FY 2017 increase by 82.3% to RM2.4 billion over FY 2016. This increase was mainly due to higher revenue from the FPO business, which increased by 263.5% in FY 2017, versus FY 2016. The increase in the FPO revenues was mainly due to stronger contributions from the four new FPO projects delivered over the course of the year.

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad continued its effort in tandem with the Sustainable Development Goals to eradicate poverty through one of its Corporate Responsibility (CR) projects named “Projek Bantuan Rumah Bank Islam”, where 27 homes for the underprivileged were built and refurbished in Melaka and Negeri Sembilan.

The newly built and refurbished houses are located in Jasin, Alor Gajah, Melaka Tengah, and one in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.
