Malaysia’s exports of rubber gloves in 2017 has hit an all-time high, benefitting from the synchronised recovery in global growth and demand. 

For the year 2017, exports grew at a robust pace of 19.4 per cent year-on-year (Y-O-Y) to RM15.9 billion compared with RM13.3 billion in the year 2016.

Minda Global Debuted on Bursa

Minda Global Bhd, which debuted on Bursa Malaysia’s Main Board today after taking over the listed status of Asiamet Education Group Berhad (AEGB), opened at 21.5 sen on Monday.

Minda Global closed its first trading day 6.82 per cent lower at 20.5 sen with 1.4 million shares traded.

Forty-three members of World Trade Organisation (WTO) lauded Malaysia on its impressive achievement, prudent trade and economic policies during the recent two-day 7th Trade Policy Review (TPR) of this country. 

The exercise which took place in Switzerland is done every four years and is mandated by the WTO agreement to ensure transparency of trade policies and measures.

SWIFT launched their latest service, the New Payments Platform (NPP) with the purpose being to revolutionise the banking industry for how domestic payments are made.
