The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cosmetic Valley France (CVF) during a mission to Paris.

In a statement, MIDA said the MoU reflects the shared ambition between both entities to develop a sustainable cosmetics and personal care industry cluster in Malaysia through the sharing of information, mutual promotional initiatives and R&D efforts particularly in the Halal segment.

Celcom Axiata Berhad and edotco Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. launched On Site Services Sdn Bhd, a new organisation focused on achieving operational and maintenance service delivery excellence. 

First for the industry, employees of On Site Services will also co-own up to 30 per cent and be pioneer stakeholders of the company.

Malaysia’s online hiring activity hit a high note in February charting 11 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) growth, according to the latest Monster Employment Index (MEI).

Job roles with the most notable growth in e-recruitment with 52 per cent on y-o-y growth are from the information technology, telecom or internet service provider and business process outsourcing or information technology enabled services sectors.

Aberdeen Asset Management Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management plc who in turn held by Standard Life Aberdeen plc, announced the launch of its first diversified multi-asset strategy in Malaysia. 

The Aberdeen Global Diversified Growth Fund is the group’s first feeder fund that invests in a Luxembourg-domiciled fund to be available through intermediaries for sophisticated investors in Malaysia and it is currently distributed by Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd.

Young Malaysians are facing increasing pressure to succeed personally and professionally before they turn 30. According to a survey by LinkedIn, 32% of males and 29% of females say they have definitely experienced what psychologists would call a ‘quarter-life crisis’ in their twenties or thirties. 

‘Quarter-life crisis’ is the feeling of not being satisfied with where a person is in their life, and that time is running out. This can cause anxiety or depression among young people of both genders.

Global nutrition company, Herbalife officially launched its first Asia Pacific Shared Services Center (SSC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

Occupying two floors of Horizon 2 in the Bangsar South enclave of Kuala Lumpur, the new SSC is the fifth such center to be launched globally as part of Herbalife’s Global Business Services Centers (GBSC) strategy, housing over 100 employees to support the growing demand for nutrition in the Asia Pacific region and around the world.

Isuzu Malaysia recently conducted a special gathering session for Isuzu truck bodybuilders, from April 13 to 14 at Ombak Villa in Langkawi, Kedah.

Twenty-one bodybuilders from all over the nation attended the gathering session, which gave them an exclusive opportunity to grasp latest Isuzu commercial vehicle updates and in-depth product training. Isuzu Malaysia’s Chief Executive Officer, Koji Nakamura, and Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Vehicle Division, Mikio Tsukui also attended the gathering.
