Kuala Lumpur, March 6 - The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) last week launches the new Registered Financial Planner (RFP) e-Modules leveraging on its e-learning capabilities for aspiring Financial Planners in Malaysia.
First introduced in November 2002, the RFP serves to cultivate continuous learning towards achieving professional recognition and qualification in providing comprehensive advisory services to clients.
In collaboration with the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC), MII, the leading professional body and education institution for the Malaysian insurance industry, ventures into enhancing the learning environment for insurance agents in line with the advancement of technology through the e-learning platform.
The RFP modules introduced by MII in the elearning format are Module 1 – Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Module 2 – Risk Management & Insurance Planning.
Targeting specifically at Life Insurance Agents, these two modules offer updated and more comprehensive content, interactive features, self-assessment tests at the end of each chapter, mock exam questions at the end of each module and an e-Certificate issuance upon successful completion.
Datuk Syed Moheeb bin Syed Kamarulzaman, CEO of MII said, “MII has an instrumental role to play in facilitating and providing the most conducive learning environment for the Life Insurance Agents in Malaysia through e-learning modules that are easily understood, accessible, student-centred, and projects visual interpretation to maximize the learning experience.”
He added, “Whilst these agents are always on-the-go, the e-learning platform will be the most appropriate channel of learning for them so that they can learn anytime and anywhere through their mobile devices.”
Subscription of each module is only priced at RM 70.00 with a validity period of three months.
As an incentive to MII e-RPF subscribers, they will get to enjoy a 50% discount on the RFP Examinations Fee at just RM 424.00, originally priced at RM848.00.
In addition to the discount, they will also be eligible to obtain an additional 15 Mandatory CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours which forms part of the agents’ pre-requisites of maintaining their operating license.
