Wentel Engineering Holdings Berhad ("Wentel Engineering" or "the Company") has reported its financial results for the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2024 ("Q4FY2024"). The Johor-based company, which is principally involved in the fabrication of semi-finished metal products and metal parts, and the assembly of finished products, registered an 8.68% increase in revenue as compared to the preceding year corresponding financial quarter ("Q4FY2023").
For Q4FY2024, the Company’s revenue rose to RM28.94 million from RM26.62 million in Q4FY2023. This growth was primarily driven by increased fabrication of metal parts, attributed to the robust recovery of the semiconductor market. The revenue for the quarter was contributed by the fabrication of semi-finished metal products, fabrication of metal parts and assembly of finished products amounted to RM20.93 million, RM7.19 million, and RM0.82 million respectively. The fabrication of semi-finished metal products remained the major revenue contributor.
The Group’s Profit Before Tax ("PBT") for Q4FY2024 surged by 93.79% to RM8.43 million, compared to RM4.35 million in Q4FY2023. The sharp increase in PBT was due to higher revenue and an improved gross profit margin. Profit After Tax ("PAT") for Q4FY2024 stood at RM6.62 million.
Commenting on the Company’s performance, Mr. Wong Chun Wei, Executive Director of Wentel Engineering Holdings Berhad, highlighted the positive outlook of global merchandise trade, world tourism, and the semiconductor market in 2025. He stated, “We expect continuous demand for security solutions and semiconductor components, which will drive the need for scanning equipment and increase demand for high-quality, precision-engineered metal components and sheet metal fabrication. These trends present growth opportunities for Wentel Engineering.”
