Continued excellence in cloud service innovation

Alibaba Cloud has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Public Cloud Platforms Q4 2024 report. Alibaba Cloud believes this is a reflection of the strength of its cloud and AI offerings and strategy, global presence, and capacity to deliver a comprehensive range of products and services to its global customers. The company earned 2nd highest scores among nine global vendors in both current offering and strategy categories. The report states that Alibaba Cloud showed its capacity for AI innovation with homegrown AI models, breadth of foundation model choices and model-as-a-service (MaaS) innovation. The report also states that the core infrastructure and model-as-a-service capabilities enable Alibaba Cloud to provide a major model repository for AI across China.

Besides overall cloud-native infrastructure and AI capabilities, Alibaba Cloud’s dominance in Container Management and Cloud Database Management has also been reaffirmed in Gartner’s recent reports.

It has been named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Container Management for the second consecutive year. The company’s broad product portfolio, offering solutions for both hybrid cloud and edge scenarios, saturation across the Alibaba Group ecosystem, and market leadership in China all contributed to this important recognition. 

Building on this recognition, Alibaba Cloud continues to innovate in container technology. The company recently announced the international debut of Alibaba Cloud Container Compute Service (ACS), a serverless container solution designed to streamline and optimize workload deployment. Alibaba Cloud continues to drive innovation in database technology with recent upgrades designed to make advanced solutions more accessible to customers. At its flagship Apsara Conference in 2024, the company introduced DMS: OneMeta+OneOps, a unified platform that simplifies data management across databases, data warehouses, and data lakes in multi-cloud environments. By boosting data utilization rates by up to 10 times, this platform empowers organizations to efficiently manage their data and unlock greater value, further cementing Alibaba Cloud's leadership in cloud database management.

Emerging leader in cutting-edge AI technologies

In addition to its cloud infrastructure leadership, Alibaba Cloud is making significant strides in the rapidly advancing field of Generative AI (GenAI). Alibaba Cloud has been recognized as an Emerging Leader in all four Emerging Market Quadrants of the latest 2025 Gartner® Innovation Guide for Generative AI Technologies. Alibaba Cloud believe these recognitions highlight Alibaba Cloud’s advancements in AI cloud infrastructure, AI model provision, engineering capabilities, and AI knowledge management tools—underscoring the company's role in shaping GenAI’s future across industries.
