MyDigital: Malaysia’s catalyst to drive native policies and digital-first economy

With digital transformation being an important catalyst for Malaysia’s inclusive economic recovery, MyDIGITAL and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint announced today by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, is an important milestone that will enable Malaysia to take advantage of the breadth of opportunity that technology offers. 

We congratulate the Government for putting a bold digital vision forward. We applaud the holistic approach and strategies outlined in the Blueprint encompassing digital connectivity, infrastructure and skillsets, which will help Malaysia to be a digitally-driven high-income nation and a regional leader in the digital economy, in achieving inclusive, responsible and sustainable socioeconomic development.

Could data be the silver bullet retailers need to survive 2021?

Once upon a time, the January sales period would have seen Malaysian shoppers hit the high street in droves to bag a bargain post-Christmas. Unfortunately, this year, the mass migration online as well as stricter local restrictions under our new three-tier system have left many high street retailers contemplating closure unless a solution can be found. 

Of course, there is one ally that many have overlooked that could help retailers navigate this tough terrain. That really is data. Of course, data is not a new concept for the retail industry. However, until now, most have failed to take full advantage of the data that lives across their online and offline estate.

BAWANGCHAJI MALAYSIA ACHIEVED GROWTH IN BUSINESS DESPITE THE PANDEMIC

Boehringer Ingelheim named Top Employer in Malaysia, across Southeast Asia, and South Korea for 2021

MALAYSIA, 25 January 2021 – Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognized as a Top Employer for 2021 in Malaysia and six other countries across Asia - Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam - by Top Employers Institute, the global authority on excellence in people practices. This is the third consecutive year that the healthcare company has received the certification in Malaysia, and the second time they are awarded across the region. 

Besides being certified at the local and regional level, Boehringer Ingelheim was also named a Global Top Employer for the first time. They are one of only 16 companies recognized worldwide for this title.
