Petaling Jaya, March 6 – Nestlé (Malaysia) Bhd delivered a better performance for its financial year ended December 31, 2016, by crossing the threshold of RM5 billion in revenue, with a turnover of RM5.1 billion for the year.
This represents a 4.7% increase from RM4.8 billion in the previous year. Domestic sales continued to be a key contributor, achieving 3.3% growth. This was driven by the Group’s continuous product innovations in tandem with successful marketing and trade promotions.
Kuala Lumpur, March 1 - CIMB Group Holdings Bhd yesterday reported a Profit Before Tax (“PBT”) of RM4.88 billion for financial year 2016 (“FY16”). On a year-on-year (“Y-o-Y”) basis, the Group’s FY16 operating income expanded 4.4% with operating expenses remaining well under control.
This translated to an 8.6% Y-o-Y improvement in preprovisioning operating profit (”PPOP”) and a 4.5% Y-o-Y improvement in the Net Profit to RM3.56 billion compared to the Business As Usual (“BAU”) FY15 Net Profit of RM3.41 billion. The FY16 net earnings per share (“EPS”) stood at 41.00 sen with a net return on average equity (“ROE”) of 8.3%.
Kuala Lumpur, Feb 28 - Eversendai Corporation Bhd recorded a revenue of RM1.57 billion and a pre-tax loss of RM248.0 million for the yr ended December 2016.
The losses incurred during the 2016 financial year were mainly due to impairment on fair value of financial assets, provision of doubtful debts, higher costs resulting from delay in project funding as well as low utilisation of the fabrication facility due to exceptionally slow recovery of the oil and gas industry.
