MTTC College, a leading Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution specializing in design and technology, has successfully reached its minimum funding target of RM 526,500 for its equity crowdfunding campaign on pitchIN. This milestone marks a significant step toward expanding access to high-quality, job-ready skills in Malaysia’s design and technology sectors.
In 2023, MTTC secured RM 1,542,500 from 23 investors through an equity crowdfunding (ECF) round, reflecting strong investor confidence in the college’s mission and growth strategy. This latest campaign on pitchIN seeks to build on that momentum as MTTC aims to raise a maximum of RM 3,375,000 to support an ambitious expansion plan, including broadening its course offerings, enhancing its digital and physical learning environments, and increasing enrollment.
As demand for skilled professionals in creative design and technology continues to rise, MTTC College is committed to empowering students with hands-on, industry-relevant training to prepare them for successful careers. Through the pitchIN campaign, MTTC College aims to raise RM3.3 million to support an ambitious expansion plan, which includes broadening its course offerings, enhancing its digital and physical learning environments, and increasing enrollment from underserved communities.
“We believe that TVET education, especially in areas like design and technology, plays a crucial role in building the future workforce,” said Ts. Charlenne Ong, Principal of MTTC College. “With this equity crowdfunding campaign, we invite investors to join us in this vision, helping us equip more students with practical skills while participating in our growth and impact journey.”
The funds raised will enable MTTC College to upgrade campus facilities to deliver a dynamic and engaging learning experience, as well as increasing the quota to fill up to 500 students for their new branch campus in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The strategic location and the trend set in the rapid development of Iskandar Puteri Zone help the College to attract not only Johorian students but also Singaporean.
The college is the only one in Malaysia to offer an exclusive 2-years Advanced Diploma in Digital Construction Technology (BIM) programme, which fits into the hunger demand of BIM modelers in Johor Bahru, Klang Valley and Singapore. Each year, there are companies who are ready to offer thousands of BIM modelers job across these regions.
MTTC College’s dedication to quality TVET education, accessibility, and innovation has earned it trust among students, parents, and industry professionals. By leveraging pitchIN’s crowdfunding platform, MTTC aims to foster a network of stakeholders who share its commitment to shaping Malaysia’s design and technology landscape.
The principal believes in changing the TVET Education perspective, as it goes with the slogan “TVET is a choice, not the last choice”.
