ROSEN Group in Malaysia has achieved a major industry milestone, recording over 1 million man-hours without a single recordable safety incident. The achievement was commemorated during the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Day 2025 (HSE Day 2025), held at its Asia Pacific Headquarters in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, in conjunction with the World Day for Safety and Health.
The event celebrated not only operational excellence but also underscored the company’s unwavering dedication to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
“To us, 1 million safe hours isn’t just a number, it is a commitment,” said Floris Verhagen, Vice President of Business Collaboration and Resourcing Management at ROSEN Group in Asia Pacific.
“It reflects months of continuous operations across multiple high-risk projects, without a single recordable incident. Every pipeline inspected, every site visited, every decision made was driven by our commitment to safety. This milestone belongs to everyone who shows up each day, choosing to do what is right, not merely what is easy.” he added.
The event featured live demonstrations of ROSEN’s latest inspection technologies, including hands-free tools and real-time safety systems designed to reduce human exposure to risk. Industry stakeholders participated in a live dialogue session, further highlighting ROSEN’s leadership in asset integrity and safe operations.
In line with its broader ESG strategy, the company also used the event as a platform for community and environmental impact. Activities included an on-site blood donation drive in collaboration with the National Blood Centre (Pusat Darah Negara), which successfully collected 30 bags of blood. Attendees were also encouraged to participate in sustainability efforts through fabric and electronic (e-waste) recycling stations. On the day, 100 kilograms of fabric were collected, with the campaign expected to continue for another two weeks to reach a target of 300 kilograms.
“We took the opportunity to track and collect ESG-related data throughout the day,” said Noor Alia Mohd Anif, Head of Marketing and Communications at ROSEN Group in Asia Pacific.
“From the number of shirts donated to pints of blood collected, every touchpoint was designed to ensure the event created a measurable positive impact for both our internal community and the public.” she said.
Since 2022, ROSEN Group in Malaysia has reported a 28% reduction in electricity consumption and a 29% decrease in travel-related emissions, underscoring the company’s proactive approach to sustainability.
With its latest safety achievement and ongoing ESG initiatives, ROSEN Group continues to demonstrate that excellence in industrial operations can go hand-in-hand with social and environmental responsibility.
