The Ibrahim International Business District (IIBD) is located within the Southern Johor Economic Region and Daerah Sentral of Johor Bahru, covering approximately 250 acres (101 hectares) with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of a minimum of RM20 billion.

IIBD is akin to the Golden Triangle of the capital city of Johor Bahru,  providing the impetus to propel it as a world-class business district.

The IIBD Blueprint is a subset of the Rancangan Tempatan Daerah Johor Bahru (Penggantian) 2025 to drive corporate governance and implement strategic land use planning for the current Central Business District of Johor Bahru.

The IIBD Blueprint was successfully gazetted on January 18 2018, and constitutes predominantly; for commercial purposes 51 per cent, 24 per cent for public placemaking, 14 per cent for institutional and nine per cent for people living spaces.

The four HOME lenses, namely Heritage, Opportunity, Mobility and Eco-sustainability, are key attributes by which IIBD will be viewed, and collectively will define and drive development and investment strategies within IIBD.

Preservation and conservation efforts include the heritage enclave of Johor Bahru Old Town, built heritage of some 246 pre-war shophouses and 16 iconic heritage sites, as well as natural heritage of four historic hills. 

Businesses and enterprises can engage and participate in opportunities and initiatives within a business-friendly community.

Among others, the designation of specialist functional zones to facilitate business and innovation is key to attract talent and foster an inclusive economic development.

One of JCorp’s approaches in driving IIBD’s development is by garnering strategic public-private partnerships and working with key developers within IIBD.

IIBD’s main infrastructure arteries will be integrated with urban life, well-connected with an integrated transport and pedestrian network.

The City-Link Bridge is a 268-metre pedestrian walkway that connects from JB Sentral to Persada Annexe through KOMTAR JBCC, which will be fully air-conditioned with CCTV, as well as retail and F&B pockets along the walkway.
