Kuala Lumpur, 15 August 2019 - Home-grown tech company, Dapat Vista Sdn Bhd is further establishing its services with the launch of MyPay. This online platform provides Malaysians the convenience of checking loan balances and making payments for such loans, getting updates on outstanding traffic summons and tax, performing licence renewal as well as lodging complaints and reports.
Having started with data services for various government departments and agencies via SMS service - MySMS since 2000, Dapat now launches MyPay, a one-stop e-government service platform developed to consolidate individual's information and payment related to government services with digital efficiency. MyPay bridges Malaysians with government agencies such as the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ), The Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR), the RAM Credit Information Sdn Bhd (RAMCI) and many more.
“Since its introduction, digital payment gained users trusts and its growth is visibly rapid. We now need to provide a seamless one-stop solution that conveniently update Malaysians on important information and make obligatory payments to various government agencies timely. MyPay provides government agencies with yet another collection avenue towards improvement of collections. This also helps close the gap between billing and payment,” said Sabri Rahman, Executive Director of MyPay.
Security of MyPay users is assured with the Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) processes that are widely used for user authentication and verification. MyKad numbers in conjunction with phone numbers and email forms the basis to facilitate security. This process ensures that each individual is only able to create one MyPay account without the allowance of duplicates whilst mitigating identity thefts.
On top of that, the Transaction Access Codes (TAC) further acts to eliminate frauds. To verify the identity of users, facial recognition technology is used. Users will be required to share photos of their MyKad with their selfies. These will then be matched using facial recognition technology.
This user-friendly online portal provides simple and straightforward navigation in order to enhance user experience. The hamburger menu used by MyPay provides for excellent visionary awareness. Users will be also able to set reminders for due dates notifications to pop up. This can avoid late payment surcharge along with all type of penalties as users will be reminded to make payment before due. Payment can be made instantly using the FPX system and credit cards through all banks in Malaysia.
“Whilst the launch sees several key government agencies being on board with MyPay, we are expecting to add more services as soon as the technical clearances are in place. We intend to expand into the payment space beyond government agencies such as utility billings and other lifestyle obligations like telephone bills, credit cards, club memberships and commercial obligations. MyPay will be about all that one needs to know and pay at every scheduled time of the month,” Sabri added in his speech at the launch.
Officiating the event was Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. “Consumer convenience is at the forefront of everything that we do here at the ministry. The government is always committed to making government services increasingly convenient to the people. We lauds all effort for quality, secure and comprehensive digital service - one which is inclusive and people-friendly like MyPay is one of the initiatives that my ministry and I are happy to see. In line with our aspiration to facilitate a digital and cashless society, MyPay is a very timely and useful product for both the government and Malaysians,” said Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.
To further enhance user experience, MyPay functions on low data consumption with an average of 20KB for each session. Loading time across all database will only take an average of 15 seconds and below. 25 Application Programming Interface (API) are used, with 1,151 APIs in the pipeline.
