KUALA LUMPUR, 22 October 2020 — Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) proudly presents Minggu Saham Digital, a digital adaptation of Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM). Every year, for two decades, PNB has provided a face-to-face in-person platform for the Malaysian public to become acquainted with the institution and its investee companies, as well as a way for PNB’s unit holders to be able to visualise how their investments contribute towards the strength of Malaysia’s economy.
In keeping with the digital transformation taking place, PNB is set to host its first-ever Minggu Saham Digital (MSD) from 18 to 24 November 2020 through Facebook and YouTube. This seven-day livestream digital event will be broadcasted daily between 12.30 p.m and 10.30 p.m.
Group Chairman of PNB, Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Aziz said, “PNB has successfully positioned the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia as a much-awaited annual event with family-friendly and educational activities for two decades. Minggu Saham Digital is a testament as to how PNB is constantly evolving and embracing new and interesting ways of engaging with our valued unit holders and with Malaysians at large, in our aim to strengthen financial literacy through easily navigable digital platforms.”

PNB’s corporate partners for MSD consist of three tiers. Over the course of the seven days, Malaysians from all walks of life will be able to experience different types of content, from educational forums and webinar series, to entertaining segments such as a virtual concert. Through this one-of-a-kind digital livestream, participants will also be able to take part in game shows, cooking shows, science experiments, a virtual treasure hunt called ‘Eh, Mana Kod?’ and the face mask design competition called #LakaranJuara.
Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes worth more than RM500,000, including a Ford Ranger 2.0L XLT 4WD (10AT), a Toyota Vios 1.5G (AT), a Perodua Aruz 1.5AV (AT), a Honda CBR250, 8 Honda Dash 125S and Lazada e-vouchers worth more than RM180,000.
