Kuala Lumpur, 5 February 2021 – The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) is inviting the public to the launch of the ‘Sawit Anugerah Tuhan’ campaign by joining a virtual event on the Council’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MPOCHQ. This event will take place at noon on 10 February 2021.
The campaign that will be launched by Dato’ Dr Khairuddin Aman Razali, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities will also feature the launch of the campaign’s new website, www.sawit.com.my. Through the website, the public will be able to learn more about the benefits of Malaysian palm oil as well as participate in an online contest to stand a chance to win attractive prizes including an iPad, a Garmin smartwatch, Earbuds, food vouchers and more. The grand prize winner will walk away with a new MacBook Pro.
The ‘Sawit Anugerah Tuhan’ campaign is a testament to the Ministry’s efforts in raising the public’s awareness and appreciation towards the contribution of the palm oil industry to the country’s growth – socially and economically. Additionally, it serves as an effective resource to promote the production of sustainable palm oil amongst the smallholders.
For decades, the Malaysian palm oil industry has been contributing to the people’s livelihood and social well-being, particularly the smallholders. This causes rippling effects in terms of better quality of life for families, greater educational opportunities for younger generations, and an overall stronger economic standing for Malaysia. These need to be shared with the people of the nation. This campaign showcases the benefits and potential of Malaysian palm oil by focusing on its commercial contributions, health & nutrition benefits, and unmatched versatility in food and non-food applications.
Organised by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities through the Malaysian Palm Oil Council, the campaign was announced to the public on 19 November 2020 at the Parliament of Malaysia by Khairuddin.

ABOUT THE MALAYSIAN PALM OIL COUNCIL (MPOC)
MPOC is a Council under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities. Established in 1990, its role is to promote market expansion of Malaysian palm oil and its products. This is pursued by enhancing the image and demand for Malaysian palm oil through awareness of various techno economic advantages and environmental sustainability of the commodity.
