Kuala Lumpur, 16 July 2021 – International SOS, one of the world’s leading health and security companies, in conjunction with Boren Healthcare, have administered over 2,500 doses in the first week of operation at the industrial vaccination centre (PPVIN) at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). International SOS also expects the vaccination capacity of the PPVIN at PICC to be increased to more than 1,000 individuals per day in the coming weeks to ensure the 40,000 doses are administered as soon as possible.
International SOS and Boren Healthcare will also be supporting the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) as the healthcare organiser of the integrated vaccination centre (PPV) at Yong Peng, which will be in operation from 18 July for six weeks, with a targeted 2,000 administrations per day.
Appointed as an approved healthcare organiser by ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn. Bhd., International SOS has been tasked to manage the Public-Private Partnership COVID-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (PIKAS) at PICC. PIKAS is aimed at employees of companies in the manufacturing sector designated by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The initiative is designed to support and accelerate the government’s efforts under PICK.
