Kuala Lumpur, 8 September 2021 - Wahed Technologies Sdn Bhd (Wahed), Malaysia’s first digital Islamic investment manager, is empowering Malaysians to take greater control of their savings & investments with a view of achieving a more secure financial future with its new Savings Booster Programme.
The Savings Booster Programme provides investors with the opportunity to put their money into diversified investment portfolios. By setting specific financial targets, the Programme rewards investors who achieve their financial milestones by enabling them to redeem attractive perks and incentives from a curated list of partners.
“The young adults, millennials of today aspire to have a better quality of life and health. To help them achieve these life goals whilst navigating the increasing cost of living would mean that they often need a better option to save and manage their finances. As the country’s first Islamic digital investment manager, we set out to provide Malaysians with a reliable and transparent investment product that is not only efficient and accessible but also shariah-compliant at its core. No matter the size of your account, we make sure that your investment portfolio is diversified, halal, and is tailored to achieve your personal financial milestones in life,” said the Country Executive Director of Wahed Invest, Mohd Izzat Fadhli Azman.
The Savings Booster Programme offers a comprehensive and user-friendly experience - suitable for investors of all backgrounds. Investors start by opening an investment account with Wahed and browse the offerings listed on the Savings Booster Programme landing page. One would then sign up for the programme by completing registration linked to the partner’s offerings and aim to qualify based on the programme’s requirements. Once the funding target has been reached in the investor’s dedicated portfolio, the investor would then have saved up sufficient funds for the service offered by the partner. As an added boost, investors will redeem attractive perks and incentives from the programme’s partners.
Under the Savings Booster Programme, investors will choose from several perks and offerings from a list of participating businesses. As a start, some of the brands that are available under the Programme include Tripfez Travel Sdn Bhd, an online travel agency where investors will be able to enjoy RM 400 discounts on early umrah bookings in anticipation of borders reopening. Also on the list are Zenyum and Artius, both orthodontic and dental service providers; here, investors will be able to receive discounts up to RM 600 on aligners and retainers and perks ranging from free consultation on dental care treatments and consultations.
Mohd Izzat further added on “With the ongoing pandemic and the current healthcare climate in the country, it is imperative we create new and trusted avenues for young Malaysians to invest and save for a more secure financial future. Wahed recognises this and offers a low barrier to entry for investment at just RM100 with diversified portfolio and transparent investment processes. This announcement is just a start and we will be working towards bringing more value-added benefits to the Savings Booster programme. We are also open to any company who would be interested to be a partner in this programme to incentivise Malaysians in goal-based investing.”
The Savings Booster Programme is also made possible by collaborating with ACCESS Health International, which has helped build the foundations of the health-focused partners and benefits brought to the Programme.
