Kuala Lumpur, 13 October 2021 - Alibaba Cloud Innovation Centre has joined hands with Fidelity Funding, a venture capital corporation with the aim of propelling local businesses to greater heights by equipping them with the latest information and know-how in digital transformation.
The collaboration is set to kick-off with the upcoming Alibaba Cloud Demo Day 2021 which will be conducted across a series of events - Demo Day 2021. The series will also look to nurture the next generation of fresh talent.
Fidelity Funding will be joining other major brands such as ATM Capital, Capital Nuts and Ficus Venture to form the judging panel for the Alibaba Cloud Demo Day 2021. The programme is anticipated to bring together over 500+ Malaysian startups, the event is set to transform the traditional businesses, encouraging companies to embrace the latest technologies and take advantage of current resources.
Commencing from the 23rd October 2021 to 26th March 2022, the Alibaba Cloud Demo Day is organised by Handsprofit, Alibaba Cloud’s local partner and co-organised by BIG WHEEL. The event will also include the launching of the Alibaba Cloud Global Startup Accelerator, whereby Malaysian startups will have the opportunity to be selected for the Global Startup Accelerator Programme and become part of Alibaba Cloud’s global ecosystem. These series of contests are expected to create an innovative wave in the region bringing about solutions such as 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things, AR/VR, drones, smart community, smart logistics, connected vehicles, smart medical care, smart city, smart energy, and the smart grid for the startup scene here in Malaysia.
