Kuala Lumpur, 1 November 2021 – PropertyGuru Malaysia, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology (“PropTech”) company, announced today that it will be hosting its inaugural virtual property expo in the country. Starting from 28 October 2021 to 27 November 2021, local homebuyers, agents, property seeker and investors will have the chance to explore some of Malaysia’s best property deals, gain access to insightful webinars, and participate in exciting giveaways.
In line with public health and safety procedures, PropertyGuru has created a 3D virtual expo experience for consumers to explore the showcase of over 40+ projects nationwide, designed to feature booths and interactive features much like a physical event. Property seekers will be able to navigate the virtual booths in real time, while interacting with participating developers and property experts all from the comfort of their own homes.
“We are thrilled to be announcing the virtual PropertyGuru Expo together with our title sponsor, Alliance Bank, and we look forward to seeing property seekers from across Malaysia joining us at this event. Our recent Consumer Sentiment Study found that Malaysians are embracing the new normal, as the majority now prefer a combination of physical and virtual viewings, and we hope this expo can cater to property seekers’ preferences and needs with their safety in mind. With the health and safety of our consumers as a top priority, we have been working hard to bring an experience similar to a physical property expo that can be attended by all Malaysians, regardless of where you are in the country”, said Sheldon Fernandez, Country Manager of PropertyGuru Malaysia.
Property seekers can expect to connect with over 20 leading and world-class developers in the country, including participating developers of the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC), such as Gunung Impian Development Sdn. Bhd., Sime Darby Brunsfield Resort Sdn. Bhd., and Tropicana Corporation Berhad, and explore their premier offerings Prestige Residence, Edelweiss Serviced Residences, Taman Impian Emas in Johor Bahru, Aura Residence, and more.
“As the country continues to adapt to the new normal and many resume their journeys of homeownership, we are hoping that this expo will be a good place for them to start. During the height of the pandemic, we have seen that virtual events have worked well for consumers as they got to view listings during the Movement Control Order through virtual tours. Evidently, the new normal has pushed property players to incorporate technology at a faster pace as on our own platforms, there have been 188 virtual tours, resulting in a 47% increase in property listings with virtual tours in 2021. Now, with the expo, there will be an added real-time element whereby property seekers and homebuyers are free to make immediate enquiries, ask questions, and seek advice”, concluded Sheldon.
Alliance Bank’s Group Chief Consumer Banking Officer Gan Pai Li shared, “We are pleased to collaborate with PropertyGuru to offer attractive home loan packages and making it convenient for anyone to own a property, be it their first, second or third home. We are delighted to offer the Alliance Home Loan/Financing at promotional rates to the first 100 PropertyGuru Expo registrants.”
Furthermore, attendees can take advantage of the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) deals as well as developers’ promos available at the month-long event, including low booking fees, fee waivers, and flash sales on selected weekends. Visitors will also get the chance to participate in weekly lucky draws where they can win SweetDream Royal Blue 5 Star Mattress worth up to RM29,000. In addition, homebuyers can also enjoy RM100 cashback when they apply for selected products from Alliance Bank.
Those who are keen to learn more about the property market will also have the option to attend the webinars during the one-month period, which will offer various industry insights, latest trends, and tips and tricks when it comes to homeownership. First time home buyers can also attend the webinars and join live chats with speakers to learn about making more informed decisions. The webinars will be covering a range of relevant property topics including an outlook on the Malaysian property market and insights to purchasing a home in the coming months, as well as finance-related topics such as exploring refinancing in an individual’s homeownership journey.
