In line with its corporate social responsibility aspiration, OneXOX welcomed and celebrated 30 orphans from Rumah Perlindungan Nur Hati in a specially designed Ramadan programme for them yesterday. The event took place at Mydin Subang Jaya Hypermarket, with the presence of Encik Bobie Farid Shamsudin, Chief Executive Officer of OneXOX.
In his speech, Encik Bobie Farid Shamsudin expressed the importance of this effort to OneXOX long-term business sustainability. “Such charitable activities are indeed part of OneXOX's social responsibility. We think that activities like this should be held as part of the efforts of every corporate company because what is gained is not only for the company, but should also benefit the community around us, " said Encik Bobie Farid.
“We at OneXOX also took the opportunity to establish and further strengthen the relationship with the residents of Rumah Perlindungan Nur Hati and also Mydin through this activity. It is the smile and positivity shown by the children here that motivate us to continue our responsibilities through activities like this. We look forward to doing more collaborations with NGOs in future,” he added further.
At the event, the group of orphans were brought around shopping for Raya clothes and were given ‘duit raya’. The programme ended with Iftar (breaking fast) session for the children and all attendees.
OneXOX held its CSR events on a regular basis every year and had organised activities with other Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) previously. The event is OneXOX’s first collaboration with Rumah Perlindungan Nur Hati, an NGO that houses and cares for single mothers, the poor and young orphans.
