In anticipation of the upcoming Festival of Lights, Amanie Care Foundation proudly hosted the annual Bakul Jalinan Kasih programme at SJK (T) Ladang Bukit Jenun, the Foundation's adopted school. This initiative is an extension of last year’s successful programme at the same school, reinforcing the Foundation's commitment to supporting the local community and uplifting the celebrations for students and their families, ensuring they can embrace Deepavali with joy and dignity.
The event was graced by representatives from JPN Kedah and PPD Pendang, highlighting the importance of community collaboration in supporting underprivileged students. Committed to enhancing the lives of underprivileged children and communities, Amanie Care Foundation conducted a needs assessment at the school, identifying key areas for assistance. Many students come from low-income backgrounds, lacking access to basic necessities that are vital for their educational experience and overall well-being. The Bakul Jalinan Kasih programme distributed packages containing food items for festive treats and other essential items, enabling families to celebrate the occasion.
Razi Pahlavi Abdul Aziz, CEO of Amanie Care Foundation, shared, “It was heartwarming to see the community come together to support our students and their families. By providing essential items, we aimed to alleviate some of their burdens and allow them to celebrate Deepavali with joy and dignity. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion for everyone during this festive season.”
This year’s programme benefitted 25 students, their families, and teachers, ensuring they can look forward to a meaningful Deepavali celebration. The generous contributions from local partners and community members played a vital role in making this initiative successful.
“Through our ongoing efforts, we strive to make a significant impact in the lives of those in need. We hope that this initiative not only brings joy during Deepavali but also strengthens the spirit of unity and support within our community,” concluded Razi.
