Bangi, 15th June 2022 – 7 popular local icons will fly to Tanzania, East Africa from 6th until 19th of July, with one mission; participate in the African Humanitarian Mission organized by Impactive Malaysia (IM).
This humanitarian mission that focuses on educational and economic development is actually the second visit of the IM team here after the previous one, which has been taken in 2017.
For this mission, IM aims to raise funds as much as RM1.2 million for all the projects that will be included in this session, such as the distribution of sacrificial meat, adding the school supplies, Quran endowment, and also having the school repairs.
This targeted number of funds is also an effort shown by IM and all Malaysians in channeling other assistance to the other Muslim community, counting as giving the worship equipment/stuff and Islamic teaching assistance.
The 7 local icons who will participate in this mission consist of celebrities, TV personalities, entrepreneurs, and social media stars namely Hazeman Huzir, Farah Lee, Nadzmi Adhwa, Akhi Fairuz, Que Yahaya, Nazirul, and also not to miss the corporate personalities namely Aiman Hakim from Isosynergy Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

In fact, in line with Hari Raya Aidiladha that will be coming in next month, this mission also aims to get 100 sacrificial cows, 100 akikah goats, and 500 kilograms of meat to be handed over to the Muslim community in Tanzania.
Plus, it is interesting to know that IM will work their best with the native NGO friends to get more goat and cow supplies if the response from Malaysians is amazing.
Impactive Media Chief Executive Officer, Mohamad Khairul bin Jamain, or known as KJ said, this humanitarian program carries a mission in helping the Muslim community in Tanzania, who are often been oppressed and marginalized.
He said, 446 million Africans, from the total population of 1.02 billion, are Muslims, and on that page, Tanzania is the country in Africa’s continent that comprises 34.1% of the Muslim population.
“It is very contrasting to the other countries where their majority are also Muslims, the Muslim community in Tanzania is often being marginalized and not been given much attention.
“Through the visit to Tanzania later, we will visit two main districts that will be the target for our mission, which are located in Handeni and Kilendi.
“From the information that we received from our partner there; the Islamic Help team, they said that these two districts are the poorest and most in need of assistance in Tanzania.
“That is why, Tanzania is our target location – due to the lack of assistance extended to the Muslim community in these two districts. This is also in line with the focus of IM to look at the community and marginalized issues.”, he said.
KJ attended the press conference to introduce the icons line-up, who will be together in the African Humanitarian Mission, which was held at the Red Card Café, Bandar Baru Bangi, this morning.
According to KJ, he put high faith and trust in those 7 icons, along with their respective credentials in being the information agent to share and spread the news, indirectly injecting the awareness to their followers.
“This mission is not just from the IM’s efforts alone, but it is also with the help of our fellow humanitarian icons who are participating.
“I would love to share a note here that each of those 7 icons is actually an active spokesperson in highlighting the humanitarian issues.
“They are not being chosen randomly. In fact, some of them are already a part of the IM team itself.

“The attention and purpose that they always carry are similar to ours, which is to face the humanitarian issues, particularly to help the Muslim community. But this time around, it is in Africa.
“They play a huge influence in creating and spreading the awareness on these matters towards Malaysians.”, he said.
The presence of 7 icons in Tanzania will later be enlivened with several main activities and will be directly involved in sacrificial activities there.
The icons will visit the areas that need to be helped, such as Madrasah, schools, and other necessary places.
KJ explained the effort for the particular missions of the Kurban/Akikah Project & Wakaf Project is only the first phase.
He said IM has a different way of working – IM moves to study and analyze the needs there later based on the needs. This is the smart way to avoid any wastage of funds contributed by Malaysians.
“The second phase will be updated directly on the platform of the icons involved soon.”, he said.
IM is not just targeting ‘one-off’ projects, but its goal is to succeed in projects that have a long term impact.
“We hope to succeed in more projects with long-term impact, especially in Africa.
“Apart from the impact on the community, IM is expected to spread their best influence in facing the humanitarian issue, especially towards the youngsters.
“The two main thrusts of IM are on the educational and economic development where these two elements are linked together and important.
“The obvious impact may not be seen in a day or two, but we believe that the fate of a nation can be changed with a wonderful education and great economy," he said.
