PETALING JAYA: International knowledge sharing platform and digital magazine Technology Innovators has included a Malaysian CEO in its list of Top 20 Education Technology CEOs of 2022.
The list featured Jin Tan, the Malaysian CEO of online educational platform ReSkills, alongside 19 other prestigious edutech leaders such as Duolingo’s Luis von Ahn, Course Hero’s Andrew Grauer, Open Classroom’s Pierre Dubuc, and Udacity’s Gabe Dalporto.
“I am delighted to make it on this list. To have our efforts recognized is a powerful affirmation of our efforts to democratize education on a global level. This list by Technology Innovators contains many successful and truly inspirational edutech CEOs from all over the world, and I am honoured to be included in their esteemed company,” said Tan, who hails from Kuala Lumpur.
The list by Technology Innovators honours CEOs whose companies made an impact in the field of educational technology this year. Tan is the only CEO from an Asian country named on it, alongside mainly companies from North America and Europe. The list was first published in Technology Innovators’ March 2022 edition, together with an interview with Tan, titled ‘ReSkills: Re-defining impactful and transformational learning’.
In the interview, Tan spoke about how his company ReSkills was conceived, and shared his thoughts about issues such as mentorship, core leadership values, and the future of education technology.
“We believe that young people can save the world, they just need highly practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. At ReSkills, we believe in impactful and transformational learning. We elevate learners so that they each become masters, experts and inspirations to others,” says Tan in the interview.
