RHB Bank Berhad successfully launched and priced a USD300.0 million in nominal value, 5-year senior unsecured notes (Senior Notes), marking the third issuance of its USD5.0 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) Programme, which was established on September 23, 2014 and the first USD public benchmark issuance by a Malaysian financial institution since April 2017.

The orderbook at the final price guidance stood at over USD1.8 billion, implying an oversubscription level of over 6.0 times from 114 accounts.

Seiko Epson Corporation has been awarded The Director-General's Prize, The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, for Epson's LX-10000F series and LX-7000F series of high-speed linehead inkjet multifunction printers sold in the Japanese market. 

In Southeast Asia, the printers are known as WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590 and WF-17590 printers.

M&C Saatchi Malaysia, an advertising agency, launched the 2nd Edition of Dialog: Thoughts on Tunku’s Timeless Thinking.

The Malaysian economy grew by 4.7% in the fourth quarter of 2018, the Bank Negara Malaysia announced in a statement.

Lazada Malaysia Appoints Leo Chow as CEO

Lazada Malaysia has appointed Leo Chow as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Christophe Lejeune.

Kerjaya Prospek Group Berhad’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd accepted a letter of award worth RM280 million from HCK Builders Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of HCK Capital Group Berhad.

The letter of award was for undertaking the main building works for a proposed project located at Lot 74746, Persiaran Subang Permai, Subang Jaya, Mukim Damansara, Daerah Petaling, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Hartalega Q3 PAT Rose at RM119 Mil

Hartalega Holdings Berhad, the nitrile glove manufacturer, delivered improved results for its third quarter ended 31 December 2018, with a profit after tax (PAT) of RM119.3 million, up by 5.5 per cent from RM113.1 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) chairman, Datuk Syed Zaid Albar, has been elected the vice chair of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Growth and Emerging Markets (GEM) Committee.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) amended its Guidelines on Recognised Markets to introduce new requirements for electronic platforms that facilitate the trading of digital assets.
