MALAYSIA, January 31, 2022 – Malaysian Jason Monteiro, a senior media executive with OTT  leadership experience across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, has been named General  Manager of HBO Max Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan joining the company today.  

Monteiro will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of WarnerMedia’s Direct-to-Consumer  business, leading content experience, brand, marketing, subscriber management, digital  partnerships and data analytics. Based in Singapore, he will oversee the existing HBO GO  streaming service and the eventual launch of HBO Max in the region, building and leading a team  of cross-functional executives to maximize the streamer’s success. 

MALAYSIA, January 31, 2022 – WarnerMedia has made three more senior content hires in Asia  to bolster its original productions teams in advance of the launch of HBO Max in the region.  

In the Singapore-based team, Malaysian Mark Francis has been appointed Group Lead of  Production & Development (Scripted and Unscripted); and Wee Shi Ming has been named Lead  of Entertainment Content Acquisition for North Asia content. They both report into Magdalene Ew,  WarnerMedia’s Head of Content – Entertainment for Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. 

PETALING JAYA, Jan 31 (Bernama) -- The Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) welcomes Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) single licensing regime for financial advisors and financial planners in its recently launched Financial Sector Blueprint 2022-2026.

Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has earlier announced this move in September 2021. SC will conduct a joint review with BNM towards consolidating the licensing regime between financial planners (FPs) and financial advisers (FAs).
