According to a recent Kaspersky survey, more than half of children in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region (55%) who switched to remote learning due to the pandemic prefer in-person education.
Although the percentage is high, with almost 1 in 2 Asian kids liking face-to-face classroom more than online sessions, it is lowest compared with other regions globally. Children in Latin America have the strongest preference for the traditional education (75%), followed by Africa (73%) and the Middle East (58%).
Majority of kids in APAC dislike learning online because of having to spend so much time in front of a screen (74%). Frequent technical problems are also a bummer (60%).

MALAYSIA, August 4, 2021 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, together with Junior Achievement (JA), announced the six Malaysian students who won the 2021 FedEx Express / JA International Trade Challenge (ITC) Malaysia. The students now advance to compete at the FedEx Express / JA ITC Asia Pacific Regional Finals later this month. FedEx Express Malaysia and Junior Achievement (JA), have been hosting the competition since 2008.
The FedEx Express / JA ITC provides a platform for students to gain firsthand experience of international trade and entrepreneurship while cultivating a business mindset. To date, the FedEx Express / JA ITC has reached over seven thousand students in Malaysia.
