AIA Malaysia launches Malaysia’s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality 2018  

AIA Bhd., has announced the launch of Malaysia’s Healthiest Workplace 2018 by AIA Vitality (the “Survey”), a comprehensive survey of the health and wellbeing of employees in Malaysia. This marks the second year that AIA will be embarking on this effort to survey a board range of organisations according to size and their workforces from different industries across Malaysia. 

The Survey will provide a comprehensive overview of Malaysian employees’ health and wellbeing which in turn help employers to identify effective interventions so that they can improve health promotion strategies to create a healthier environment for their people.

Tan Ngiap Joo Appointed Chairman of OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad 

Veteran banker Tan Ngiap Joo has been appointed chairman of OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad effective 30 March following the retirement of Datuk Ooi Sang Kuang. 

Ooi  will remain as chairman of parent organisation Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Ltd) based in Singapore.

Malaysian Leaders are Not Ready for the Digital Age according to New Korn Ferry Research

Many Malaysian leaders understand the need for change, however they are struggling to balance current performance expectations, against innovating for the future, says recruitment firm Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY).

Reports by NYSE:KFY titled “Digital Leadership in Asia Pacific found that there are significant gaps between Malaysian leaders and the ‘great digital leader archetype’.
