Sapura Energy Berhad also formerly known as Sapura Kencana Petroleum Berhad, has been awarded five contracts with a combined value of approximately RM 905 million.
Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd has secured three EPCC contracts for Kinarut ERB West Compressor upgrading project and Bokor Betty Brownfield & Rejuvenation for Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and FFD Phase 2 Facilities in the North Malay Basin project for Hess Exploration And Production Malaysia BV.
Sapura said the work scopes for the Kinarut contract involves the replacement and refurbishment of compressors and associated equipment at ERB West and Kinarut platforms.
It said the contract will be for three years expiring in fourth quarter of 2020.
The Bokor contract on the other hand, spans for four and half years expiring in the second quarter of 2020.
Scope of work for this contract includes Bokor rejuvenation and host tie-in works at existing platforms including LADR-A and BNG-B and Betty rejuvenation and redevelopment works.
Sapura Fabrication also secured a contract for EPCC plus installation works for Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia BV to be completed within the second quarter of 2020.
Hess for FFD Phase 2 Facilities, North Malay Basin contract would undertake the building of a conventional three-legged terminal wellhead platform and a minimal wellhead platform, with associated pipelines.
Meanwhile, Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd bagged a contract to undertake transportation and installation for the Bokor central processing platform project for Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd, which are expected to be completed by March 2020.
Another contract awarded to Sapura Offshore covers offshore/onshore pipeline and terminal works for the fifth oil berth of Mumbai Port Trust.
The contract comprises of installation of 42-inch diameter submarine pipeline with a five-inch diameter composite cable between onshore terminal at Pir Pau in Mumbai to the terminal at Jawahar Dweep. The works are expected to be completed by May 2019.
