Amanie Advisors, a global Shariah advisory firm, in collaboration with Amanie Care Foundation dedicated has provided essential financial aid to SPM students affected by devastating floods in Kedah and Kelantan. The initiative focused on reducing the students' financial burden, allowing them to concentrate on their academic goals during this challenging time.
Cash aid was distributed at two key locations: SMK Alor Merah, Kedah, on 5 December 2024, and SMK Meranti, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, on 11 December 2024. Both schools were among the hardest hit by the floods, with significant damage to infrastructure and critical educational resources.
The fourth wave of floods this year submerged 51 schools across Kedah, affecting more than 1,500 students. SMK Alor Merah, one of the most impacted schools, received immediate support from Amanie Advisors to help affected SPM candidates continue their studies with minimal disruption.

The condition of the science laboratory at SMK Meranti, which was severely affected by the flood, with damaged work tables and non-functional sink facilities.
In Kelantan, SMK Meranti sustained severe damage, with eight truckloads of debris cleared from the premises. Essential resources, including teaching materials and laboratory equipment, were completely destroyed. Despite these challenges, the school reopened on 9 December 2024. Amanie Advisors’ cash assistance directly supported 136 SPM students, empowering them to focus on their preparations for the exams.
