Avanade, the world’s leading Microsoft expert, has appointed Megawaty Khie as the new Regional Managing Director for Southeast Asia, effective immediately, to drive the company’s growth in the region.

In this role, Megawaty will be responsible for expanding Avanade’s position as the leading Microsoft solutions provider in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia. She will lead Avanade’s team of digitally skilled professionals and innovators, combining global scale with local expertise to create value and drive meaningful impact for customers, ecosystem partners, and local communities in the AI era.

Based in Singapore, Megawaty will report to Bhavya Kapoor, President for Asia Pacific, Avanade.

Megawaty, who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Marketing, joins Avanade from Google where she led Channels and Strategic Partnerships for the Google Cloud business in Southeast Asia and launched Google’s Cloud Region in Jakarta (Indonesia) during her time as Regional Director for Indonesia and Malaysia.

With 30 years of experience spearheading growth across the Enterprise, SMB and Consumer segments, Megawaty also held a variety of leadership roles at Microsoft, SAP, IBM, HP, Dell, and Singtel.

Avanade has an established presence in Malaysia with continued investments over the years, including: the launch of its Digital Innovation Studio; the opening of Avanade’s first Generative AI Lab in Southeast Asia located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and more recently, introduced seven new Microsoft-powered AI services to help mid-market organizations in Malaysia accelerate growth and emerge as market leaders in the AI era.
