Grab Malaysia today announced a significant refresh of its GrabBenefits programme, reinforcing its commitment to the wellbeing of its driver and delivery-partners. This programme was first launched in 2017. The enhanced programme includes more than RM10 million investment and expands from three to five pillars, creating a more holistic and unified support system.
"We are reaffirming our commitment to our driver- and delivery-partners' well being through the refresh of our GrabBenefits programme," said Adelene Foo managing Director, Grab Malaysia "GrabBenefits is a programme that aims to take care of our driver- and delivery-partners’ well being as they focus on earning on Grab. The change aims to capture all the initiatives under one umbrella. We are committing more than RM 10 million this year into this programme."
The enhanced benefits were informed by feedback gathered from Grab’s driver- and delivery-partners. The GrabBenefits programme now strategically integrates existing financial solutions and community initiatives, demonstrating Grab's dedication to supporting its partners beyond just financial earnings.
Key changes to the GrabBenefits program include:
- Expansion of pillars: The programme grows from three to five pillars, and covers; Insurance, Takaful & Social Protection, Daily Deals, Academy, Gig Financial Solutions, and Community.
- Hero initiatives in 2025:
- Continuation of PERKESO SPS Gig facilitation and partial sponsorship.
- Enhanced upskilling opportunities through partnerships with government bodies and educational institutions.
- Conversion of the Grab Driver Centres into a training and community hub.
- Tailored support for Women and PWD partners.
The announcement of the enhanced GrabBenefits 2.0 was made at the International Women’s Day celebration day where more than 120 women driver- and delivery-partners enjoyed free women's fitness and wellbeing consultations from some of Grab’s corporate partners like Curves, Audiolab, and Joliewen. The event was graced by Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Binti Ahmad.

Since then, it has continued to enhance its support by strengthening safety measures, fostering a nurturing community, and creating more opportunities for women to thrive in the gig economy. This ongoing commitment sets a strong example of how platforms can play a role in advancing inclusivity. Empowering women on the platform
he #SisBoleh programme by Grab Malaysia has achieved significant success, marked by a 70% increase in active women partners joining the platform since the launch of the programme in March 2023. This growth underscores the programme's effectiveness in its core pillars of Safety, Onboarding & Training, and Community, directly reflecting Grab's strong commitment to gender equality and empowering women economically.
Safety enhancements, such as the 'Women Passengers Preferred BETA' feature and the widely adopted Audio Protect, which boasts a 70% opt-in rate, have been particularly well-received. Furthermore, the provision of targeted training programmes focused on financial literacy and self-defense has provided tangible support to women partners, contributing to a safer and more empowering environment.
This enhanced GrabBenefits programme reflects Grab’s dedication to fostering a thriving community and providing comprehensive support for its valued partners.
