Ramadan is a time for reflection, gratitude, and togetherness. Yet, while many Malaysians journey home to break fast with loved ones, there are those who remain on duty, working tirelessly to keep communities safe and transport hubs running smoothly. This Ramadan, Subway Malaysia is making sure these unsung heroes are not forgotten.
Through its Rayakan Bersama initiative, Subway gave back to 300 dedicated frontline workers at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), one of the busiest travel hubs in the country. From police officers and security guards to bus drivers, cleaners, and ticketing staff, these individuals work behind the scenes to ensure that others can reunite with their families.
To show appreciation for their dedication, Subway delivered Rayakan Bersama Meal Bags, each containing a freshly prepared 6-inch Subway sandwich, a double chocolate chip cookie, and a refreshing beverage. As a special touch, each meal bag was made complete with a customised sticker featuring a heartfelt poem of gratitude, a small but meaningful reminder that their sacrifices do not go unnoticed. More than just a meal, it’s a gesture of appreciation and a way to bring warmth, connection, and recognition to those who keep our journeys safe and seamless.
“At Subway, we believe in celebrating togetherness, not just with family and friends, but with the people who serve our communities every day,” said Kin Siong Kon, CEO of Subway Malaysia. “Rayakan Bersama is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to those who spend Ramadan ensuring that others can celebrate. They are part of the bigger story of Raya, and we want them to feel valued.”
Raya is a season of joyful homecomings, but for many, it’s also one of the busiest working periods of the year. As Malaysians pack their bags and board buses to return home, the staff at TBS ensure that every journey is safe, every ticket is processed, and every passenger gets to their destination without a hitch.
“On behalf of Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, we sincerely appreciate Subway’s generous initiative in providing meals for our staff this Ramadan,” shared the Management Team of Maju TMAS Sdn Bhd, Terminal Bersepadu Selatan. “This thoughtful gesture not only brings joy but also fosters a true sense of community, reflecting the spirit of togetherness that defines this season.”
With Rayakan Bersama, Subway Malaysia hopes to inspire Malaysians to take a moment to recognise and appreciate the everyday heroes who make our festive journeys possible.
