Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organises the Hong Kong Trade Fair that holds more than 30 exhibitions each year to bring together buyers and suppliers from both economies to develop their businesses.
“Nine international fairs, which cover watches and clocks, fashion, electronic products, lighting products, green products, spectacles as well as wine and spirits, will be held in Hong Kong from September to November.
“These fairs will serve as idea platforms for traders and suppliers from Malaysia to expand their businesses into new markets,” announced HKTDC Malaysia Director, Hoh Jee Eng.
Malaysia is Hong Kong’s 8th largest trading partner. In the first half of 2018, the total trade value between Hong Kong and Malaysia amounted to over USD 13 billion while Hong Kong’s total export to Malaysia amounted to around USD 2 billion and total import value from Malaysia reached over USD 11 billion.
Each year, the HKTDC organises more than 30 exhibitions in Hong Kong, eleven of them are the largest marketplaces of their kind in Asia, and among them five are the largest in the world.
The five include the HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair held from 4-8 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), it is expecting around 830 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, including new comers from Poland and South Africa.
The fairs will also include CENTRESTAGE, the third international fashion trade show from 5-8 September which will showcase over 220 local and overseas brands and About 20 fashion shows.
Additionally there will be the annual HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13-16 October, the two fairs are expected to gather more than 4,300 exhibitors from across the globe, representing the world’s largest electronics marketplace to showcase a wide variety of intelligent products, innovative start-up ideas and electronic components.
There will also be the Eco Expo Asia – International Trade Fair on Environmental Protection from 25-28 October, is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The fair will also be having The 20th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be staged from 27 to 30 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as well as the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will also see its third edition from 26 to 29 October at the AsiaWorld-Expo and the two lighting events expect close to 3,100 exhibitors from around the world.
The 26th edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Optical Fair will be held from 7-9 November, organised by the HKTDC and co-organised by the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association, the three-day fair will feature over 800 exhibitors from worldwide.
The fair will present the latest styles of frames, spectacles and related products in over a dozen product zones, ranging from kids’ eyewear to optometric instruments, equipment and machinery.
Finally, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will be held on 8-10 November.
