Global compressed air systems specialist KAESER Kompressoren Sdn Bhd, which services the petrochemical, marine and power plant industries, is aggressively pursuing an expansion plan to regionalise activities from its Malaysian base to tap the potential in the Southeast Asian market.
“Our RM42 million facility in Shah Alam which was completed in 2013, is the technical, customisation & final packaging focal point of compressors for all of Southeast Asia & East Asia.
“Our current facility in Shah Alam is running at 85 per cent capacity and with plans for expansion in the next few years.
“In addition to this, screw blower assembly lines are in the planning stage and the estimated up and running time is within 2019,” said KAESAR Kompressoren Sdn Bhd managing director, Datuk Eric Gan whilst addressing the reporters at the 4th Malaysia Oil and Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC) 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre,
“Upon completion, we would be well-placed to service the local and regional market with a production output of between 200 to 300 units annually,” Gan added.
A core team of 10 -15 engineers, trained at KAESER Kompressoren SE in Germany, will run the new facility in the initial stages.
When fully operational, the facility will have a total staff strength of 50 employees to handle the customisation and packaging of compressors and screw blowers to meet the requirements of customers for upstream and midstream activities.
“The company has consistently achieved an annual growth of between 10 to 15 per cent in revenue since 2004 and we hope to maintain this growth momentum in the next five years.
“With more green field projects coming back on-stream in Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and China sentiments will remain strong which bodes well for the energy, petrochemical and marine industries,” said Gan.
Set up in 1995, KAESER Kompressoren Sdn Bhd is now certified to ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO29001 standards to ensure that all customer requirements with regards to product, safety and service quality are safeguarded.
At MOGSEC 2018, KAESER Kompressoren Sdn. Bhd. will be displaying its latest M500 compressor and screw blower which feature the latest technology in compressed air systems.
“We hope to be able to engage further with existing and potential customers at MOGSEC 2018 as this is an excellent platform for industry players to update themselves on the technological front as well as establishing new partnerships to significantly enhance their businesses.
