CIMB Bank Berhad has won a total of three awards for Best Marketer in Customer Experience Marketing, Data & Tech, and Retail & Promotions Marketing at the inaugural Malaysian Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Awards 2018 recently.
Organised by the Marketing Magazine, a total of 30 awards were at stake to recognise the efforts and contributions of members in Malaysia’s marketing communications industry who have raised the bar on customer engagement that is impactful for both customers and companies.
The awards were presented at the seventh annual Malaysian CMO conference, which was graced by Minister of Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia, Gobind Singh Deo.
Among all financial institutions nominated, CIMB received the most number of awards based on a rigorous criteria comprising of, among others, business results, case study results and other awards received for specific marketing initiatives.
“We are humbled by the recognition given by the Malaysian marketing industry to our customer experience and marketing efforts, which have had a positive impact for both our customers and CIMB.
“Since 2016, we have executed various initiatives like reengineering business processes and data analytics to deliver real value to our customers’ experience and journey.
With great back-end improvements, it is that much easier to deliver CIMB’s brand promise which is to forward our customers’ ambitions through marketing and customer engagement,” said CIMB Group chief executive, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz.
“These awards also bear testimony to CIMB’s continued commitment in making customer experience and marketing as part of a holistic process, to ensure that the best value is delivered to our customers in every part of their journey with CIMB,” he added.
