Honda Malaysia showcased the latest RS variant of its segment-leading compact SUV, the HR-V at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS 2018).
Since July when the Company opened up for bookings at all 97 Honda dealerships, more than 4,100 bookings have been received for the New HR-V as to date.
Launched in 2015 in Malaysia, the HR-V has performed positively in the market, achieving cumulative total sales of 72,200 to date. Between the period of January and September, Honda models namely the Jazz, City, Civic, Accord, CR-V, BR-V have emerged top in their respective segment.
Honda has also maintained its position as No.1 in the Non-National segment and No.2 in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV) as to date.
The new HR-V RS appears sportier with new exterior featuring Honda’s Signature design, the ‘Solid Wing Face’ concept with New LED Headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), LED Fog Lights and Rear Combi LED Guide Lights.
The HR-V RS variant comes with a Sporty 18-inch Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels, Sporty Design Front Grille and new front and rear bumper to further enhance its sportiness.
New detailing such as a dark chrome outer handle, black chrome license garnish, sport black side sill and even mesh fog garnish provides a fresh and vibrant feel to the RS variant.
In addition to its enhanced look and features, the HR-V RS is powered by a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine combined with Honda's Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) that delivers a balance of performance and fuel efficiency.
It is also equipped with an exciting new feature, the Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system for sportier driving where drivers get the best of two worlds, quick and nimble steering feel in city driving condition and stable steering feel on the highway.
The interior of the New HR-V RS showcases new leather seat design with Ivory-coloured finishing and equipped with Paddle Shift, 8-Way Driver Power Seat and well-crafted sports pedal as part of the package.
The Multi-Utility Cargo Space are the highlights of the model’s cabin space which are designed to be spacious, user-friendly, practical and functional, offering total comfort and convenience for passengers.
Further elevating its complete package, the RS variant is fitted with Honda LaneWatch, a camera system mounted on the passenger side mirror where the view of the adjacent lanes next to the vehicle including blind spots will be displayed on a display system in the car which allows a better viewpoint and provides safer driving conditions for the driver.
The new HR-V RS also comes with standard safety features such as Six Airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and it also offers Multi-Angle Rear-View camera for the convenience of the driver.
Visitors can get up close to view this exciting model which will be displayed during the KLIMS 2018 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from 23 November to 2 December.
