Panasonic celebrate the completion of three new facilities - Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Berhad (PMMA), Panasonic Appliances Research & Development Centre Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (PAPRADAP) and Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PAPAMY), through “Towards a New Era” grand opening ceremony.
The launch was also held in conjunction with Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Berhad’s (PMMA) 50 years establishment in Malaysia together with its 100th anniversary celebration

Datuk Menteri Besar of Selangor, YAB Tuan Amirudin bin Shari, who was invited to officiate the new buildings, congratulates Panasonic on advancing to the next phase of growth and innovation with its latest expansions.
“In years to come, we are expecting the company to fully utilise its ground-breaking technology and exceptional engineering expertise to deliver innovation across diverse industries in all fields, creating a better day-to-day experience for its customers”,
“And with it also established as a Malaysian company, we would like to see Panasonic championing economic growth and creating job opportunities right here in the local economy,” he added.
Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), YB Dr Ong Kian Ming noting Panasonic for its contribution towards international trade and economic growth in Malaysia.
“Panasonic, being one of the largest consumer electronics manufacturers in Electrical & Electronics (E&E) industry is one of the key economic growth leaders for Malaysia with its increasing contribution towards the national export.
“Witnessing the opening of Panasonic’s new R&D arm (PAPRADAP) and warehouse & logistic hub (PAPAMY), I wish Panasonic much success ahead, and that the company will continue to provide positive outlook and prospect for Malaysia’s economy”, he said.
The opening of new facilities heralds Panasonic’s progression to a whole new era of growth in local and Asia’s consumer electronics industry.
