Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) announces the retirement of its deputy president and Group chief operating officer (COO), Asset Management, Datuk Idris Kechot, effective December 31 2018.
Datuk Idris has been with the PNB Group, including with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly owned unit trust management company of PNB, for more than 34 years
“Datuk Idris has been a long standing and valuable member of PNB’s senior management team.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and staff of PNB, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Datuk Idris for his tremendous contribution to the PNB Group,” said PNB Group chairman, Tan Seri Dr. Zeti Aziz.
With the departure of Datuk Idris, PNB announced the appointment of Hanizan Hood as chief investment officer (CIO), effective January 1.
In her new role, Hanizan assumes leadership of the day-to-day oversight of all the operating units within the Asset Management Division, namely Fund Management, Strategic Asset Allocation, Equity Market Operations, Fixed Income, Investment Analysis and Economics Departments.
Hanizan started out as a graduate trainee with PNB in 1996 and over her 22-year career, she has served in various capacities in the areas of Equity Research, Money Market, Fixed Income and Portfolio Management.
An Economics graduate from Northwestern University, US, Hanizan also holds the Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence and recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
