Twelve of Hong Kong’s brands were featured in 1 Utama Shopping Centre and Da Men Mall in February.
The twelve DG Studio’s brands were Artiart, Cardhoda, Eco Concepts, Hoobbe, Hyone, Kilovest, Konstar, MH Blocks, Paris Garden, SOAP Studio, Tea Lab and Team Green.
These twelve brands specialise in specific lifestyle products, usually offered as personal or corporate gifts and premiums.
“We are proud to showcase Hong Kong’s lifestyle products to Malaysians because we believe this market is set to receive products that are not just functional but has the ability to trigger an emotional response as well.
“We are sure that some of the products you see here today will put a smile to your face.” said HKTDC Malaysia, director, Hoh Jee Eng.
Artiart is an innovative design household products brand that produces homewares, drinkwares and business-related items with a creative, quirky fun and colourful take.
Konstar specialises in small household appliances where the design innovation simplifies how time-consuming household chores are done with four of its products have since been awarded the RedDot Design awards.
“For the environmentally conscious, Team Green’s eco-friendly and biodegradable designer puzzles are made from ethically-sourced wood for gift-giving with a conscience.” said Malaysian actress, Eyka Farhanna who was at the event while showcasing products from the brand.
For the eco-warrior, Eco Concepts biodegradable cups and creative mugs made from 100 per cent corn husks are attractive, innovative and fun.
While about being green, Paris Garden’s home gardening kits allow novice gardeners to grow their own herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers from home.
For the ultra-discerning hostess, Hoobbe’s household products are creatively and cleverly designed to make excellent conversation starters when hosting guests at home.
Tea Lab, as its name suggests indulges in all things tea and tea lovers will find the process of brewing a cup of tea more fun with the brand’s creative tea infusers and tea making accessories.
Tech-enthusiasts will love Hyone’s range of products as it markets smart and stylish design solutions for all occasions, with its focus on mobile phone gadgets and electronic accessories.
The tech-savvy would also love Cardhoda’s range of card protector wallet and name card holders where its aluminum case prevents malicious parties from unscrupulously reading cards containing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Near Field Communication (NFD) chips for fraudulent activities.
