Puchong, 18 August 2019 – JiangLab, a powerhouse of possibilities for Malaysian businesses has launched its first co-authorised book《疗商止痛》to empower Malaysian
entrepreneurs in building their businesses. The book《疗商止痛》was launched at the presentation of the Malaysia Book of Records of a 36 hour non-stop live broadcast talkathon, ‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ on Facebook.
The book《疗商止痛》was produced by JiangLab, the brainchild of three highly successful Malaysian entrepreneurs – business owner & entrepreneur Dato’ Tony Looi Chee Hong; lawyer & real estate expert Chris Tan Chur Pim and venture capitalist, educationist & business strategist Andrew Tan Yan Hoang. Guest-of-honour, YB Tan Kok Wai, Special Envoy of Malaysia to China presented the Malaysian Book of Records certificate to the trio at the book launch.
‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ went live at 10.00pm on 16th August 2019 and ended at 10.00am on 18th August 2019 with the aim to benefit Malaysian entrepreneurs from sharing the knowledge of their own respective entrepreneurial journey. ‘‘Congratulations to JiangLab for breaking a record in The Malaysia Book of Records. The ‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ was a unique platform in a safe environment to bring Malaysian entrepreneurs together, benefiting from their sharing of their knowledge in their own respective entrepreneurial journey over 36 hours, which marked the longest Facebook Live sharing session conducted in Malaysia, said YB Tan Kok Wai.
At JiangLab, three vastly different personalities from different backgrounds and professions came together to form one powerhouse of possibilities for Malaysian businesses. They may all be very different, but they have one thing in common – an entrepreneurial spirit and a heart to pass on what they have learnt.
“The 36-hour non-stop live broadcast talkathon, ‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ on Facebook received overwhelming response from Malaysians entrepreneurs in various industries. It has been a new experience for us in bringing Malaysians together for an enjoyable sharing session. We have so much more to share which we were unable to. The launch of the book《疗商止痛》was meant to further reach out to other budding entrepreneurs in Malaysia,” said Andrew Tan.
《疗商止痛》is a book where each gentleman shared their compelling story of their journey in building their businesses, bouncing back from failures, overcoming obstacles and embracing challenges. Their successes today are a result of years of hard work and learning from many mistakes. It is for this reason that they have decided to join forces to form JiangLab, a platform for Malaysian entrepreneurs to share and learn. “We are glad to witness our vision come true. This ‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ has made it possible for us to empower entrepreneurs in Malaysia to succeed in the global stage. Through JiangLab, we hope to provide a continuous platform for our next generation of entrepreneurs to share knowledge and seek help without any undue judgements from anyone,” said Chris Tan.
‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ on Facebook served as a preview of the book《疗商止痛》. Staying true to their entrepreneurial trait, ‘Jiang Talk 36 Live’ leverages on the passion of all three business specialists in public speaking and giving lectures while testing their endurance and commitment. Commenting on the book《疗商止痛》, Dato’ Tony Looi said, “One of the traits of an entrepreneur is to do what has not been done before and constantly challenging the status quo for the next level as well as making the most out of available resources. The book shares our real life experiences and obstacles that we overcame.”
JiangLab’s first co-authored book, 《疗商止痛》 is a collection of tips and gems from their life experiences in addressing the business pain points and challenges along the way. The book《疗商止痛》is now available at Popular and Kinokuniya bookstores nationwide at the recommended price of RM48.00.
