KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 29 December, 2020 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, recently bagged two highly-acclaimed industry awards, namely the “Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2020” and “2020 MY AMCHAM Cares.”
These awards recognize FedEx Malaysia for its FedEx / JA International Trade Challenge and Young Enterprise (YE) programs, which educate and inspire young talents to have an entrepreneurial mindset geared toward international trade. The awards reinforce FedEx commitment to global connectivity and providing access for the next generation of innovators.

The Sustainability and CSR Malaysia Awards 2020 recognizes the unwavering commitment of corporations with the vision to create positive impact through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to facilitate socio-economic transformation in Malaysia. Various Malaysian private and listed companies were acknowledged for their contributions in reaching out to the underserved communities. The award recipients were assessed in areas such as clear CSR purpose and goals, programme impact, frequency of CSR events, amount of contributions given, transparency in reporting CSR initiatives, creative implementation, strength of the CSR team and sincerity and effectiveness of each initiative.
The 2020 MY AMCHAM Cares is an annual program organized by the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) that celebrates and promotes best practices within the corporate citizenship and CSR programs implemented by their members. The Chamber encourages members to reflect upon their existing programs and to consider how projects implemented at the local level can be strengthened to best contribute to national and global development goals.
The FedEx Express / JA ITC and YE Program are platforms that echo the company’s commitment in creating opportunities as well as developing entrepreneurial skills in young leaders of tomorrow. To date, both programs have impacted more than 7,000 students in Malaysia alongside a milestone success where two Malaysian students emerged as the Top three teams in the FedEx Express / JA International Trade Challenge (ITC) Asia Pacific Regional Finals.
