Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 18 January 2022 - Seterra Healthcare Services, a Malaysian social enterprise with a focus on elevating the standard of Islamic Aged care, has announced the world’s first Seterra Dialogue: Islamic Aged Care that is set to take place on 22 February 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
In the spirit of collaboration to find new innovative approaches that chart the way forward for Islamic aged care, the Seterra Dialogue aims to bring together ecosystem influencers, government bodies, federal and state religious councils, industry operators, financial institutions, and foreign investors from all over the world.
Initiated by the Seterra Group of Companies, the inaugural dialogue will foster collaborations and ignite revolutionary ideas that will uncover new possibilities around sustainable business models, changing perceptions of Islamic aged care, achieving global standards and benchmarks as well as Islamic aged care financing and wealth management.
Rashidi Yahaya, Group Chief Executive Officer of Seterra Group of Companies said: ”From 2025 to 2050, the older population, aged 65 and above, is projected to double to 1.6 billion across the globe, with 8.3 million in Malaysia alone. Malaysia will be an aged nation by 2045. This means the silver-haired Tsunami of an ageing population is coming and we must be prepared! It truly is an untapped market that has abundant challenges. This requires cutting-edge solutions using emerging technology and creativity in accordance with the Quran and Hadith.”
Under the theme "Our Journey Towards Husnul Khatimah”, the Seterra Dialogue will feature a lineup of local and international speakers such as Sheikh Dr Sajid Umar, Mufti & Judge from the UK, Prof Dato’ Dr Mohd Asri bin Zainul Abidi or more popularly known as Dr Maza, Mufti of Perlis,
Prof Dr Syamsul Annuar, Ketua Majlis Tarjih Muhammadiyah from Indonesia and more.

The Seterra Dialogue: Islamic Aged Care has been organised in partnership with PICOMS International University College, the Malaysian Research Institute On Ageing (MyAgeing™) University Putra Malaysia and is supported by MyCEB or the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia.

The Seterra Dialogue will be a convening ground of over 800 participants who will have the option of participating either physically or virtually. The Damansara Declaration which aims to transform Malaysia into a hub of Islamic aged care by 2040 will also be announced during the event. In addition to dynamic and engaging speakers, participants will also be able to attend panel discussions, forums and networking sessions with some of the world’s most influential people in the industry.
