Petaling Jaya, 8 April 2022 - 4 entrepreneurs with disabilities (OKU) have been selected by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Raja Muda of Selangor and also the other jurors at the Final Round of the Selangor OKU Entrepreneurs League - SAY LEAD held at Sunway Resort Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
The league is organized by the Selangor Youth Community (SAY), a non -governmental organization founded by D.Y.T.M. Raja Muda Selangor.
Selangor OKU Entrepreneur League Program - SAY LEAD carried out under the Selangor Entrepreneurship initiative by bringing His Majesty's vision and mission to promoting inclusion in diversity especially to youth entrepreneurs.
This league is sponsored by the Selangor State Government through the Entrepreneur Development Standing Committee State of Selangor led by YB Hajah Rodziah Binti Ismail.
The criteria for selecting participants are:
- Participants born or residing in Selangor for at least 5 years.
- Aged from 18 years to 40 years.
- Is a valid holder of a People with Disabilities (OKU) card under the Welfare Department Society (JKM)
- Currently actively conducting business activities.
The SAY LEAD program has been running since September 2021. 20 participants were selected to undergo the course businesses that include:
- Entrepreneurial Profile
- Business Model Canvas
- Financial management
- Branding, Sales and Marketing
- Business Digitalization
- Site Visit of Entrepreneur Premises
- Business Profiling & Pitching Workshop
- Partnerships with Government Agencies
Every two weeks during which the business coaching course is conducted, participants are given in -house assignments to be implemented in their business.
Each participant was also mentored by coaches’ business experts & mentors from mentors from the Faculty of Management and Business UiTM to ensure their understanding and practicality objectives in applying the knowledge given is achieved. The top 10 disabled entrepreneurs have selected and eligible to make a presentation before a jury.
The final round of the Entrepreneur League was judged by:

- Yang Berusaha Dr Aizan Sofia Binti Amin (Senior Lecturer of Social Programs & Chairman UKM OKU Inclusive Policy Implementation Committee)
Three (3) OKU entrepreneurs who successfully get a place in the final presentation will get benefits as follows:
- Trophy and certificate of recognition from Selangor Youth Community (SAY)
- Eligible for the next level which is SAY LEAD +, a one -year coaching program for helping them grow their business through access to new markets, digitalization business and export markets.
FIRST WINNER: YUSAIRI HAFIZ BIN TAJUDIN | 018-380 8440
Yusairi Hafiz, 31, is a physically disabled person (nerves of the right hand and leg) who running a business called "Putu Piring Warisan Nenek."
He runs business located at Medan Selera Pasar Moden MPSJ SS15, Subang Jaya. By Armed with a business start -up capital of only RM3000, now his business income reaches RM30,000 a month and has 6 assistants.
In 2022, his business also further developed at Medan Selera Wawasan SS3 Petaling Jaya. Putu Piring Warisan's Dream Grandma is to have its own cafe all over the state in Malaysia and make Putu Piring products as his main dish in the cafe.
SECOND WINNER: FAIZUL BIN AHMAD ZUKI | 019-247 2683
Faizul, 39, is a visually impaired (blind right eye) who runs a carpet cleaning business named “Cuci Karpet Bukit Beruntung” located at Rawang, Selangor.
Among the achievements achieved by his company throughout participating the SAY LEAD program is to have a formal business premises, has 7 employees carpet cleaning operation and one of them from among the People with Disabilities (OKU).
Between the directions of his company is to expand the service area for the entire State of Selangor by creating collection centers and opening up franchise opportunities to individuals who interested in working with his company.
THIRD WINNER: NOORAIHAN BINTI CHE LI | 017- 791 2851
Nooraihan, 41, is a physically disabled person in a wheelchair who runs a business sells home appliances named "BNG Systems". His company has given birth 300 e-commerce entrepreneurs, became guest instructors of the UKM CSR program, became stars Shopee community 2021 and achieve becoming a Shopee preferred seller (preferred seller).
His dream is to produce more entrepreneurs to generate income through home appliance business and online business like that.
OKU HARAPAN ENTREPRENEUR AWARD: LINGES WARRY A/P APPARAO
Linges Warry, 23, is a disabled youth who uses a respirator since 15 years ago. He runs a cosmetics business using the brand she herself is “Absolute Glam Global”. He also has a Diploma background in management, he has entered the SAY LEAD program and learned how to improve the right marketing and sales channels. His dream is to make his product stand out like that famous cosmetic products, and opened a branch of its cosmetics store one day this.
ABOUT SELANGOR YOUTH COMMUNITY (SAY)
Selangor Youth Community (SAY) was founded by His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Raja Muda of Selangor in 2017. SAY is an organization non government, non -political and even non -profit that clings to the goal is to create a youth community by dynamic, progressive and energetic youth. Above studies and workshops conducted by Boston Consulting Group to identify youth who in Selangor, SAY has moved based on four main focuses, namely Entrepreneurship, Sports and Health, Arts and Creative as well as Community Service, it is to touch on comprehensive interests and main focus of youths in the state of Selangor.
As of 2021, SAY has had a positive impact on as many as 296,000 youth, not only concentrated in the state of Selangor but also in Malaysia as a whole through 200 initiatives and the program starts from the first year SAY is established. SAY also runs programs and holistic initiatives through partners from various government, corporate and community agencies to identify gaps in ecosystems so that no communities are left behind.
ABOUT SELANGOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP INITIATIVES
Selangor Entrepreneurship operates under the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) organization as well-known as Selangor Entrepreneurship and was established based on the vision of HRH Tengku Amir Shah, Raja Muda Selangor to create initiatives that focus on entrepreneurship for youth in the state of Selangor. This initiative aims to identify gaps in ecosystems existing youth entrepreneurship and unites all government agencies, private sector, non –entities governments as well as individuals under a common mission - to empower youth through initiatives entrepreneurship and encouraging youth to go international. There are 2 main initiatives in under Entrepreneurship Selangor:
1. i) SAY LEAD (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Acceleration and Development) SAY LEAD is the first entrepreneur league for the Disabled (OKU) in Malaysia to help entrepreneurs with disabilities earn a stable income through business and structured business coaching courses. The top three winners will qualify for the rankings next is the SAY LEAD +program, a one -year mentoring program to help they grow businesses through new market access, business digitization and markets export.
2. ii) SAY ASPIRE is a program targeting Small and Medium Industry -led companies by youth in the state of Selangor and has the potential to be exported to the international market. This 6 -month business coaching provides opportunities for youth entrepreneurs gain access to new markets and innovative business opportunities.
