Kuala Lumpur, 3 October 2023 - Have you decluttered your closet but still wonder where to recycle your old clothes and unused fabric items? If you have garments or fabric remnants that ‘don’t spark joy anymore’, CapitaLand is inviting you to whisk away those unused fabrics into its newly installed fabric recycling bins located in The Mines and 3 Damansara in the Klang Valley.
In collaboration with Kloth Cares, CapitaLand has embarked on a fabric recycling initiative, aimed to not only cull away fabric from harming the landfills, but to also inculcate responsible recycling practice among shoppers.
Through the installation of the new fabric recycling bins, the neighbourhood communities can now recycle their old garments, clothing accessories, footwear and shoes, bags, household textiles, children’s toys and other fabric remnants at Level 1, The Mines (South Court) beside Lotus’s supermarket and Lift Lobby 6, Basement 2 car park at 3 Damansara.
All the collected fabric items will be segregated according to different material categories at a designated fabric recycling factory, while suitable ones will be given away to charity homes. Through this recycling effort, CapitaLand aims to collect 12,000 kg of fabric items annually in Malaysia.
To achieve the target, The Mines and 3 Damansara will be organising a series of campaigns to cultivate recycling awareness among their communities. One of the main highlights of the campaign is the “Recycle, Post and Redeem” redemption, which will run from now until 31 December 2023. Participants that meet the redemption requirements will be rewarded with exciting vouchers for their recycling efforts.

1. Follow and like The Mines or 3 Damansara on Facebook and Instagram.
2. Click a selfie when dropping off your unwanted fabric items in the fabric recycling bin at The Mines or 3 Damansara.
3. Post your best selfie photo on your FB and Instagram feed with hashtags #TMGoGreen #TMKlothcares #RecycleBersama for The Mines and #3DGoGreen #3DKlothcares #RecycleBersama for 3 Damansara. Turn your Facebook and Instagram setting to public.
4. Show your post to our friendly information counter personnel at The Mines (Level 3, East Court) and 3 Damansara (Ground Floor, Centre Concourse) to redeem your voucher!
