TDM Berhad (“TDM” or the “Group”) in collaboration with Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat ADUN Jerteh has reached out to 200 asnaf in Jerteh through the program, “TDM Bersama Masyarakat Jerteh, Besut”. The event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Ustaz Dr. Riduan Mohamad Nor, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) of Jerteh, accompanied by Encik Ahmad Shukri Mohd Ali, Head Human Resources and Administration TDM and Encik Ahmad Imran Muhamad, MAIDAM District Officer (North Zone), at Dewan Masjid Hadhari Jerteh, Besut.
The program, “TDM Bersama Masyarakat Jerteh,” represents the eighth district in TDM's outreach efforts. In previous years, TDM successfully reached seven districts in Terengganu, including Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Setiu, Kemaman, and Marang. To complete this initiative and cover all eight districts, we are now extending the same concept to the Besut district. The first series, “TDM Bersama Masyarakat Kota Putera,” was held at the end of 2023, and Jerteh marks the second series for Besut.
"We are focusing on the Besut district in our efforts to build relationships and ensure support reaches those in need at the district level. This initiative is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, fulfilling our commitment to the community. As members of TDM, we are aware that there are still communities in need of assistance to sustain their daily lives," said Haji Najman Kamaruddin, Executive Director of TDM.
"Considering the current cost of living, the challenge of rising prices is a major problem affecting a large portion of the population. TDM's main objective is to provide assistance and contributions, with the hope of alleviating and supporting the livelihoods of the beneficiaries to some extent."
TDM is one of the state subsidiaries that consistently supports government efforts and programs, particularly those focused on community welfare and social aspects. This is evident in the State Government's strategic core action plan 7, which emphasizes inclusiveness in welfare and the empowerment of women. This initiative aims to develop individuals and establish Terengganu as a 'Welfare State' centered on its citizens."
