Magnet Security & Automation Sdn. Bhd. (MAG or the Company), the number one barrier gate brand in Malaysia, is now eyeing regional market expansion for growth. MAG which was recently certified by the Malaysia Book of Records to have sold the most barrier gates in a year, is now ready to expand more aggressively in regional markets especially in Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia where it currently has export presence.

We recently introduced our latest innovative solutions for building security to our dealers in the Philippines and it was very well received. MAG currently exports to 13 countries and has over 1500 dealers in Malaysia and across the region. It has projects in the region which include residential and commercial buildings owned by AyalaLand in the Philippines, Transjakarta bus terminals in Indonesia and others. 

Export currently contributes about 5% to its overall sales revenue and the CEO believes it can increase this to about 10% by end of this year, supported by the current ringgit level and its active engagement with local dealers in the respective countries.  

MAG Medialess Solutions was recently introduced due to the shift towards demand for medialess security access with the adoption of RFID technology for vehicle access and facial recognition biometric AI for human access into buildings and unit offices. The seamless integration of these technologies not only enhances security but also streamlines the user experience and journey from entry to exit of a building.
