Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), through its latest, most exciting and fastest growing unit, Akademi TVET UNIRAZAK (ATUR), which was established to answer the Government’s call to action for the development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in this country, was recently honoured at the Malaysia Education & TVET Awards 2024 (META 2024), held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

META 2024, held in conjunction with the ASEAN HR Awards 2024 by HrHub.my, recognised 60 leading education institutions and professionals for their outstanding contributions to TVET. Organised by ‘Education + TVET Asia’ Publications, the programme celebrated excellence and innovation within the education and TVET sectors. 



At the ceremony officiated by YB Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, ATUR received the award for Malaysia's Best Accredited Centre for Administrative Management. This accolade, received by the Chief Executive Officer of UNIRAZAK, Amil Izham Hamzah, highlights ATUR’s exceptional quality and transformative impact of its administrative management programmes.


 
Adding to the triumph, Ts Azlin Shah Zainal Abidin, Senior Director of ATUR, was honoured with the Outstanding Personality Award for TVET Training and Education. This award recognised Ts Azlin's exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing ATUR's mission of empowering individuals and shaping the future of TVET in Malaysia. 
 
The ceremony addressed the importance of enhancing the perception of TVET education, often seen as less appealing to school leavers. As an Accredited Centre under Malaysia’s Department of Skills Development, UNIRAZAK, through ATUR, offers Malaysian Skills Certificate and Diploma programmes, as well as pathways for TVET learners to pursue their academic ambitions with UNIRAZAK. This initiative reaffirms UNIRAZAK's commitment to fostering lifelong learning and developing a skilled workforce in shaping the future of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Malaysia.
