Seberang Perai, Malaysia, 18 May 2022: DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has relocated its Prai Service Centre to a larger, RM13 million facility at Batu Kawan Industrial Park. The move is in response to the increased demand for international shipping by the northern region’s business community.
The new Prai Service Centre includes 2,386 square metres of warehousing and office space, which is five times the size of the previous facility. The expansion includes a high-speed sorting system capable of handling up to 975 pieces per hour. This ultimately improves shipment processing capacity by 170 percent for the more than 1,500 parcels and documents bound for and from the facility's busiest air routes, namely the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Germany. The faster transit times provide a boost in service for the company's customers in mainland Penang, Perlis, and Kedah.
As always, Malaysia’s favourite home improvement retailer is making sure no one is left out of the festivities. MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad [MR D.I.Y.] recently mobilised its corporate social responsibility [CSR] team, MR D.I.Y. CARES, to bring Hari Raya cheer to two charity homes - Mesra Home Ampang, a care centre for the elderly, as well as Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Jalinan Kasih Anak-Anak Yatim & Miskin, an orphanage in Cheras.

The pandemic has catalyzed a monumental shift in where and how people work, with employees increasingly leveraging both personal and corporate devices to access enterprise resources as they work from everywhere. According to Gartner®, hybrid workplaces are here to stay, with 96% of workers worldwide who are currently working remotely at least some of the time want to continue doing so. And Gartner predicts that 47% of knowledge workers will join the remote ranks in2022, compared with 27% in 2019 (Gartner, How to Cultivate Effective Remote Work Marketing Teams, April 25, 2022). Ivanti’s 2022 Everywhere Workplace report also highlights this evolution of work, with nearly three quarters of respondents (71%) saying they would prefer to work from anywhere rather than get a promotion.
