KUALA LUMPUR, 25 MARCH 2022 - MR. DOLLAR, the fixed price concept store that is part of home improvement retail giant MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad, today reiterated its stand not to increase prices at its stores, stating it was not in consumers’ interests to do so at this time.
The popular store, known colloquially as “kedai harga tetap” says its fixed price policy of RM2 and RM5 will be maintained at its 50-plus stores nationwide for the foreseeable future.
Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, 25 March 2022 – Sunway Construction Group Berhad (“SunCon” or “Group”) has appointed Liew Kok Wing, 53, as the Group Managing Director effective 1 April 2022, the Group’s Board of Directors announced today.
As part of SunCon’s management succession plan, Liew will succeed outgoing Group Managing Director Chung Soo Kiong, who will assume another role within Sunway Group.
Liew has been the Managing Director of Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, since 1 January 2020. He was appointed to the Board of SunCon on 7 January 2020, and served as the alternate director to Chung.
Kuala Terengganu, 25 March 2022 – TDM Plantation Sdn. Bhd. (“TDMP”), the plantation division of TDM Berhad (“TDM” or “Group”), has received the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) approved by the European Commission (ISCC EU) for the second year in a row, effective from March 17, 2022, to March 16, 2023. This accreditation is accorded to the company following an independent technical review conducted on the company’s supply chain, operations, and greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations by Trans Certification International Sdn. Bhd. (TCISB), an ISCC registered certification body, at its South Zone operation units.
The ISCC EU is a leading global certification system to demonstrate compliance with the legal sustainability requirements laid down by the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II), covering the traceability, environmental, and social aspects of biomass production. TDMP emerged as the first plantation company in Terengganu to be certified with the ISCC EU certification back in 2021, based on the audit made to its first gathering points (FGP) and oil mill (OM). It continues to replicate the same green practices and, at the same time, ramps up various efforts to minimise GHG emissions across its South Zone operation units.
