PropertyGuru Hosts Month-long, Inaugural Virtual Expo for Malaysian Home Seekers

Kuala Lumpur, 1 November 2021 – PropertyGuru Malaysia, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology (“PropTech”) company, announced today that it will be hosting its inaugural virtual property expo in the country. Starting from 28 October 2021 to 27 November 2021, local homebuyers, agents, property seeker and investors will have the chance to explore some of Malaysia’s best property deals, gain access to insightful webinars, and participate in exciting giveaways. 

In line with public health and safety procedures, PropertyGuru has created a 3D virtual expo experience for consumers to explore the showcase of over 40+ projects nationwide, designed to feature booths and interactive features much like a physical event. Property seekers will be able to navigate the virtual booths in real time, while interacting with participating developers and property experts all from the comfort of their own homes.  

Realme Sets Up an International Business Unit and Appoints Madhav Prakash Sheth as President

PETALING JAYA, 1 NOVEMBER 2021 - realme, the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, today announced the creation of the International Business Unit to streamline and integrate its overseas businesses to provide better products and services to its customers. Madhav Prakash Sheth, the Vice President of realme, will act as the president of the new division.

Madhav will be fully responsible for realme’s overseas business operation, reporting directly to the founder and CEO of realme, Sky Li.

Nuanced, tiered approach to financial policy and products needed for millennial and Gen Z investors

Kuala Lumpur, 1 November 2021 – The Institute for Capital Market Research (ICMR) Malaysia  today launched its latest research report on “The Rise of Millennial and Gen Z Investors: Trends,  Opportunities, and Challenges for Malaysia.” The research attempts to understand financial  attitudes and behaviours of millennials and Gen Z investors, the largest generational cohorts with  the power to influence consumer and market trends over the next decade. This report presents  findings from ICMR’s nationwide quantitative survey of 1500 respondents and supplementary  qualitative interviews. 

ICMR’s survey found that respondents aged 21-40 years old could be divided into three mutually  exclusive groups. Group A comprises those who do not invest in any capital market products (22%); Group B invests only in Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) funds and/or unit trusts (33%); and Group C invests in capital market products not limited to ASNB and unit trusts (45%).
