BIMB Investment Receives Two Awards at the 2021 Alpha South East Asia Best Islamic Finance Awards

Kuala Lumpur, 5th July 2021 – BIMB Investment Management Berhad ("BIMB Investment"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, won the Best Islamic Asset & Fund Manager 2021 in South East Asia award at the Alpha South East Asia Best Islamic Finance Awards 2021 ceremony hosted by Alpha South East Asia, a regional institution investment publication based in Hong Kong.  It is the fourth consecutive win by the company. In addition, BIMB Investment won Best Risk-adjusted Returns for ESG Principles Investments Fund Manager 2021.

Logistics tech startup Pickupp completes Series A+ funding co-led by Taiwan E-commerce giant PChome and Cornerstone Ventures, accumulated funds reached USD$15M

Kuala Lumpur, 5 July 2021 --- Pickupp, the on-demand delivery and tech startup redefining logistics, today announced that it has successfully raised approximately US$15 million in Series A and Series A+ financing from regional strategic investors, after its first-round investment in November 2020.  

The series A+ round funding was led by Taiwan e-commerce giant PChome and Cornerstone Ventures, with participation from an existing investor, Swire Properties, and new investors including Cathay Venture Inc. and DRIVE Catalyst (the corporate venture arm of Far Eastern Group) from Taiwan and the Jardine Matheson Group and Zipx from Hong Kong. The company will accelerate new expansion in Taiwan and deepen its presences in key markets including Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur, 5 July 2021 — EasyStore, Malaysia’s leading e-commerce software-as-a-service (Saas) solution provider, today officially launches its #SellOnlineWithEasyStore campaign where SMEs, local entrepreneurs and other B2C businesses can sign up for a free lifetime subscription to the platform’s sales channels. With this, businesses will be able to effectively manage a sales channel of their choice on EasyStore along with the option to switch to other available free channels later on in the pipeline The launch of this initiative comes at a juncture where many SMEs are either struggling to survive or scale their businesses as the nation faces the extension of MCO 3.0 for the second time.
